Richard Montes
An expert in originating and structuring real estate deals, Mr. Montes is the driving force and Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and heads up acquisition and development activity. Mr. Montes has a life time of experience in Real Estate development starting with managing his father’s construction company at a very young age. During that time he managed to obtain a BA in Political Science and a JD from the University of California Los Angeles.
After Law School he went into Politics and was the District Chief of Staff for a prominent California State Assemblyman. After leaving politics, he became the Executive Director of a non-profit organization which built and managed affordable housing. Richard had oversight of the management process and managed over 350 affordable housing units, all of which had California Tax Credit funding. Mr. Montes left the non-profit industry to start his own business and created two companies; Grapevine Land Company and RGM Land Development, Inc. He is an expert in all components of Real Estate development, particularly land use and land development. Richard is a native Californian and a devoted husband and father and currently lives in North Los Angels County with his lovely wife the three young children.
